Rocky Tobey

Rocky has included an original of a poster he did for the anti-Quebec Summit protests. He has done political posters in Canada since 1985, including the poster for the 1988 anarchist  un-convention in Toronto. Rocky's main artistic practice is his street art. He has been installing street art in Toronto and other Canadian cities for 25 years, since he started doing street zeroxes and graffiti in the mid 1970's. In the mid 1980's he installed painted billboard political parodies on abandoned buildings. He has installed concrete sculptures, street-post mounted books and political historical plaques  around Toronto streets. His most recent art is etched copper plaques bolted to street posts.
